Jena Burton Wellness - Mindful Breathing

A reinvention

with intention.

I truly believe that if everyone was a little healthier, they’d be a lot happier and this world would be a better place. This is why I got into coaching – to meet people where they’re at, help them figure out their wellness vision and guide them there with compassion.

I’m extremely passionate about health and wellness because I know firsthand how little changes over time can completely transform your life. I certainly wish I had more guidance during my own journey, which is why I’m so grateful I discovered coaching. I’m here so you don’t have to walk this (sometimes daunting) path alone.

It started in 2011 when I had these strange breakouts on my face, chest, and back. I hadn’t struggled with acne before, so this was new — it was inflamed, patchy, and no doctor, dermatologist, or esthetician could help me. I was prescribed harsh topicals that only made things worse.

I knew it had to be something internal, but the conventional route wasn’t giving me answers. This went on for over five years until a friend recommended a functional medicine doctor — something I’d never heard of at the time (and now I can’t stop talking about!).

This is when my life completely changed.

After that first visit, I found out my gut was in shambles (aka “gut dysbiosis”). I was constantly bloated and tired, but it had become my baseline — I didn’t even realize how unwell I was until I started feeling better. I had no idea my skin and gut were related, and that discovery is what piqued my interest in whole-body health.

I became more curious about how our systems are connected, especially when it comes to mental and physical health. I thought I was doing everything "right" — eating healthy, exercising, sleeping fairly well. But I was also constantly stressed, going out a lot, and had been on hormonal birth control for most of my life.

Eventually, I learned there’s so much more to wellness than just what you eat and how you move. (Not to overlook their importance — they’re foundational.)

Fast forward to today — I’m a new mom, navigating the beautiful and sometimes overwhelming transformation that comes with motherhood.

My wellness routine doesn’t look like it did pre-baby, and that’s okay. I’m figuring it out as I go, but what I know for sure is this: when I prioritize myself, I show up as the best mom, wife, coach, and human.

This new chapter has deepened my passion for what I do. I know how easy it is to lose yourself in the care of others — and I also know how powerful it is to reclaim your energy, your confidence, your health. That’s why I’m so passionate about helping other women — especially moms — create a wellness routine that fits their real life.

After over a decade in marketing, I realized I couldn’t keep everything I’d learned to myself. Discovering health coaching felt like finding a career that was made for me. It allows me to combine my passion for wellness with my empathetic, curious, and caring nature. Coaching is what I was put on this earth to do.

About JB Wellness.

Why I Started This Work

I started this coaching and wellness education business to help others live their most vibrant life. Wellness isn’t just the absence of disease — it’s about feeling your best, living with purpose, and knowing deep down that you are absolutely worth it.

Although I support anyone with their health goals, the core of my work is helping clients strengthen the relationship they have with themselves. It’s the true foundation of well-being, and it makes implementing your goals — whether it's better sleep, optimal nutrition, or a consistent exercise routine — feel more natural and sustainable.

I’m committed to helping people take their health into their own hands — setting them up for long-term success by meeting them exactly where they’re at. There is no one-size-fits-all solution, which is why I use a patient-centered, whole-person approach.

Working with me as your health coach, you’ll have a safe space to explore, create, motivate, and collaborate — a space that leaves you feeling supported, empowered, and more like yourself again.

This is what I’m here to do. To make your wellness, effortless.
